Citta' Di Castello

City of Castle is a town of Perugia and is the main centre of high valley of the Tiber. The city thanks to the architectural structure of a renaissance, the number of inhabitants, the population density, geographic location and the spoken dialect make the city less Umbrian towns of Umbria. The original settlement was founded by the Umbrians on the left bank of the Tiber near the territory which was under the control of the Etruscans, however, starting from the third century BC because the expansion Roman, the city was federated to Rome and then was inserted in Regio VI Umbria. From the first century BC became a Roman municipality, and the most illustrious was Pliny the Younger, known as Pliny the Younger, who, as stated in his letter, he built a temple, completed in 103 BC or 104 BC, which are not know the location.
